  2. I am trying to find out why my great uncle was awarded the Romanian Medal "Croix de Virtute Militara" in 1919. He was an RFA Lance Bombadier. The award does not appear on his medal card and his service record appears to have been destroyed. He died in September 1919. Would appreciate some guidance.

  3. Can I suggest you pose this question on the Great War Forum; someone there may have the answer. Notice of this award probably appears in The London Gazette.
